D SERIES-TPR3A Modules: Ideal for High-Quality AudioReception
The D SERIES-TPR3A modules are three-pair audio receivingmodules that are fully compatible with RDL Format-A twisted pair products.Designed for wall boxes, cabinets, or other types of enclosures, these modulesallow users to connect external equipment with ease. The -TPR3A models can bemounted in RDL WB-1U and WB-2U wall boxes or standard US electrical boxes.
These modules are available in different colors, dependingon the user’s preference. The D-TPR3A features a white front-panel laminatewith gray lettering to match RDL Decora-style remote controls. The DB-TPR3A hasa black front-panel laminate, while the DS-TPR3A is constructed of stainlesssteel, making it perfect for commercial/industrial installations that use RDLDecora-style stainless steel remote controls.
The D SERIES-TPR3A modules feature an XLR audio output andtwo RCA phono jack outputs (one for the left channel and one for the rightchannel). The audio signal received from pair A of the RJ45 INPUT jack feedsthe XLR audio output jack. During installation, the output level from the XLRjack can be set to either MIC or LINE level using a rear-panel switch. Theaudio signals received from pairs B and C of the twisted pair cable arebuffered to drive the RCA output jacks at the standard -10 dBV consumer level.
Thanks to the bridging input circuits used in all FORMAT-Atwisted pair receivers, additional receivers can be connected to the sametwisted pair feed. This feature allows for enormous flexibility in the designof audio routing systems using RDL FORMAT-A products.
The D SERIES-TPR3A can be powered directly from a 24 Vdcpower supply using the rear-panel detachable terminal block. Alternatively, the-TPR3A can be remotely powered through the twisted pair cable from any othermodule, signal distributor, or RDL power inserter connected to the same twistedpair cable. Module power is indicated by a front-panel LED.
