For 105mm-thread telephotos and fast primes, the Irix Edge ND8 applies a uniform 3-stop reduction so wide apertures stay usable in bright light without touching ISO or shutter.
A full neutral density design decreases light uniformly across the surface, so camera settings hold steady while exposure time stretches. Highest-quality optical glass, multilayer anti-reflective coatings on both sides, double-sided hydro- and oleophobic nano coatings, and a durable lightweight aluminum frame round out the build.
