The Audio-Technica AT-LH13H is a precision 13-gram universal headshell engineered for serious vinyl playback. Machined from aluminum with a hard anodized finish, it suppresses unwanted vibration so your cartridge hears only the groove — a meaningful upgrade over stamped or lightweight stock headshells, particularly with high-resolution cartridges.
The AT-LH13H is optimized to accommodate cartridges with threaded bodies, such as Audio-Technica’s AT-OC9X moving coil series and VM95 Series, making installation clean and secure. Oxygen-free copper (OFC) lead wires preserve signal purity, while an adjustable cylinder enables precise azimuth and overhang settings so you can dial in alignment exactly. It ships with a hexagonal wrench, two cartridge installation screws, and two plastic washers.
Audio-Technica offers this design in three weights — 13 g (AT-LH13H), 15 g (AT-LH15H), and 18 g (AT-LH18H) — so you can match headshell mass to your cartridge compliance and tonearm for optimal resonance behavior. The 13-gram version suits a wide range of medium-mass tonearm setups.
